This very important Patriotic Contest gave school children in grades 5-8 the opportunity to express views on their pride in America.

Every year the contest starts at the Local Lodge, progresses through District and State levels, and ends with the naming of the National Winners at the Grand Lodge Session on July 5th.

Essay submissions will be judged on:

✔Originality: 30 points

✔Development of Theme: 40 points

✔Mechanics and Neatness: 30 points

NEW this year, there areNOW four divisions for judging essays:

✔Division 1 - combined 5th grade

✔Division 2 - combined 6th grade

✔Division 3 - combined 7th grade

✔Division 4 - combined 8th grade

A brochure regarding this year's contest, and the entry forms, can be downloaded from the link below. They would be good to review for any youth likely to participate in the fall of 2022. Deadline for entry is December 15th, 2022.
