We now have Sunday Drives as well - once a quarter.
I am pleased to announce the results from both of our Blood Drives that were held during 2022 -over 386 pints so far
I want to thank all of you for for taking the time out of your busy schedules to help our community.
History on our Blood Drive...Began on December 8, 2007. Since then, we have sponsored over 150 blood drives with more than 2,400 pints of blood donated to the community.
A big THANK YOU goes out to all of you that have helped make this a very successful event! At this time, I would also like to thank all the Elk volunteers that help make these quarterly drives happen...

December Blood Drives
111 registered, and 93 people donated whole blood. Additionally 3 people donated power red (formerly called "double red") for a total of 38 units of blood!
Below are just a few of the many patient stories we received recently, who may have a chance at another tomorrow thanks to the efforts of blood drives like yours:
- A 7-day-old boy extreme preemie Born at 25 weeks needed 4 red cell units over 5 days, and 2 plasma units O+
- A 49-year-old man with Cardiogenic Shock needed 22 red cell units, 4 platelet units, and 18 plasma units A+
- A 47-year-old man with Acute Respiratory Failure needed 1 red cell unit O+
- A 6-day old girl extreme preemie born at 25 weeks needed 1 red cell unit B+
Total for December: 93 people donated 101 units of blood
