Lynn Fox, Ph.D.: Chair - Drug Awareness Program

Specialty: Youth Drug Awareness and Prevention

C. Lynn Fox is a national expert in the areas of drug awareness and prevention, adolescent development, classroom management, self-esteem enhancement, and Special Education.

She has trained over 100,000 K-12 teachers and others for more than 30 years, and has been a professor of Education at both San Francisco State and San Diego State Universities.

Dr. Fox has authored & co-authored 11 books, including a textbook with Dr. Shirley Forbing for Harper Collins, entitled: Creating Drug Free Schools and Communities: A Comprehensive Approach.

She has produced or starred in numerous recent TV Shows that have aired throughout California since 2015 - two that relate specifically to marijuana.

Along with Dr. Shirley Forbing, Dr. Fox has developed, researched and implemented three NATIONAL MODELS for the Federal Government:

- Project STOP: Standing Together to Offer Prevention

- Project CODE: Collaborating on Drug Education for Parents

- Project ACE: Activating Community Efforts to Fight Drug Abuse

Peter is a very active member who supports veterans events and organizations throughout Marin County and California. The Veterans Service Committee visits the Yountville Veterans Home, supports American Legion Posts, and plays a strong supporting role in Marin County Veterans Day ceremonies.

Marie has been a strong supporter of DAP at Lodge 1108,assisting with many meetings and events during registration and the creation of graphic materials (posters and signs). She also works with Lynn updating the DAP Bulletin Board in the Main Lodge.

Katherine has been very successful in promoting DAP events and placing photos in Elk publications - the Elks National Magazine and the CHEA Magazine - as well as announcements in the Marin IJ and San Rafael Chamber of Commerce. These have included the 2018 Camerana Award Recipient (Bruce Goldberg, Special Agent DEA retired), 2019 Recipient Lori Frugoli (Marin County District Attorney), and the 2020 Recipient (Mike Daly, Marin Chief Probation Officer). She participates actively in preparing DAP content and taking photos for the Lodge Booster and website.

Katherine also promotes other Lodge events, fundraisers and programs, having obtained coverage in the Marin IJ Social Scene, Giving Marin, Marin Magazine, the San Rafael Chamber, and TV.
